Shawn Lopez serves as Music Director at Christ Presbyterian Church, bringing together his love of music, teaching, and worship. As a lifelong musician and music educator, Shawn believes that music has a unique ability to bring people together, open our hearts to God, and help us experience the joy of worship.

Shawn has spent his career helping children and adults discover their musical gifts and grow in confidence through music. He believes that everyone has something valuable to contribute—whether through singing, playing an instrument, or simply joining together as a congregation.

As Music Director, Shawn is excited to help build a music ministry at Christ Presbyterian where people of all ages and musical backgrounds feel welcomed, encouraged, and inspired to use their gifts to glorify God. His desire is for worship through music to be authentic, joyful, meaningful, and centered on Christ.

Shawn, his wife Julie & son Caleb live in the Treasure Valley. Shawn enjoys spending time with family, composing music, being outdoors, and playing competitive ping pong.
